Twenty people are dead and 26 others injured after a shooting at a busy Walmart in El Paso, Texas, on Saturday morning. It's the deadliest mass shooting in America since a 2017 attack in Sutherland Springs, Texas killed 26 people.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott told reporters Saturday, “On a day that would have been a normal day for someone to leisurely go shopping, turned into one of the most deadly days in the history of Texas.”

Law enforcement said a 21-year-old man, Patrick Crusius, surrendered and is in custody. The shooting was more than 600 miles from his home in North Texas. Police are investigating whether it was a hate crime because of a racist and anti-immigrant manifesto that Crusius allegedly posted online just before the shooting. According to CNN, the document, "rails against immigrants and Hispanics." The FBI has also opened a domestic terror investigation.

Both Facebook and Twitter said they're working to prevent users from sharing the manifesto.
